Due to its high temperature resistance, this plastic is suitable for applications where PLA gets soft. The heat distortion temperature of ABS is at about 100°C and it is more impact-resistant and lighter than PLA.

Upon cooling, ABS shrinks more than PLA. The greater and faster the temperature difference drop, the more ABS gets deformed (warps). We therefore recommend the use of a heated bed. You should preheat the print bed to 80-110°C.

High-precision prints are achievable with our ABS.

ABS is resistant to oil and grease, alkalis and petrol.
ABS dissolves in acetone but not in lime.
If you use a dual extruder 3D printer with HiPS as support material, you can remove the HiPS with lime. The ABS structure remains intact.
ABS can be welded, glued and painted or galvanized after pretreatment.
The ABS filament is supplied wound on a spool, for smooth printing processes without knotting, which can otherwise happen.
